So i put that computer I listed in http://tchernobyl.livejournal.com/438389.html up on craiglist, on a whim. Have gotten three replies so far.

One person, first email "still available?!????".. and second reply after I said yes (shouldn't have, in hindsight. ah well) asking for address, phone, full name, etc. Scam, wut? :p

second email... a person waxing evangelically about how craiglist selling saved his life and family zomg! wut.

third email... seems legit. Asking if i can include an OS, etc etc. Seems human, so to speak. However, their ceiling seems to be 300$, instead of the 400$ I was aiming for.

300 seems a bit low... but then again, a lot of those pieces aren't sold anymore (deactivated on newegg, for example).

What do you guys think? Should I go for the 300$ person?

heeee.
If any of you have ever played half life, you'll find this funny...

http://www.accursedfarms.com/Series.php?series=2 "Freeman's mind". A machinima of someone playing Half-life 1, monologuing Gordon Freeman's thoughts. Incredibly well done, and hilarious...

" In Freeman’s Mind, he is a highly vocal and neurotic individual with paranoid and delusional tendencies. All episodes are filmed in a first-person perspective as he gives a monologue of his thoughts."

first ep :) (it's only at ep 16 which is a quarter of the way through the game, ish, but it's worth watching and keeping an eye on :D)

posting this again since the sale fell through for various reasons~ (not on my end!)

I have a computer for sale! as some of you may have seen in a LJ post of mine some time ago, I upgraded my cpu, mobo, ram etc etc. And from previous upgrades, I had a number of other parts as well. I was only missing a few others (that were subsequently purchased) to make an entire computer.
specs are thus:
cpu: Core2 duo e6600 2.4ghz with stock fan.
mobo: evga nforce 680i. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188019 specifically
power supply: 600watts.
ram: 4x1gb of ddr2 800mhz (PC2 6400)
graphics card: EVGA geforce 8800 640mb.
HDD: 7200 rpm 320gb
optical drive: dvd/cd burner http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827129040
onboard sound.

yes, it's a couple years old, but the hardware is solid, and it's a gaming rig, thus rather powerful for its age. It'll run things like Crysis at full details (admittedly not full resolution AND full details, but it'll run 1280x1024 with full details perfectly well).

Looking for 400$ for the entire thing, which is a pretty good deal. I spent far more at the time to build it :)

drop me a note here if you are interested! Can negotiate shipping and whatnot :)

random question!

On http://www.gamestar.de (yes i know it's german but nevermind that part), at the top and sides of the page should appear an advertisement for a game, Risen (flash ad maybe? dunno. something.) at the top there's a video, with mainly music as sound... I wish to identify what that particular music is. Can anyone recognize it? My first thought is that it sounds vaguely like Nightwish, but i really don't know for sure.

Had lunch with [info]kira_chan today, was delicious.

The food, you perverts. (mmm, steak. and oh god that brownie).

but yeah,t'was fun! and i still don't understand why she thinks she isn't cute, she is! :P Although I don't suggest making her blush too much, she takes her hands off the wheel of the car to hide her face >_>

*flrrd and hides from Kira*

Is it just me... or does the gnome in this video (second voice) sound like Vizinni, the sicilian in Princess Bride?
